Zero Waste Alliance - Zero Waste Alliance's (ZWA) Sections include:

Citizens’ Agenda for Zero Waste - An impressive guide for local government and citizens to develop waste reduction strategies, by the GrassRoots Recycling Network.

SmartGrowthBC - This is a new organization dedicated to challenging urban sprawl and other unsustainable urban development practices in British Columbia. Its web site contains information on its programs, publications, and upcoming events.

NEW BC - NEW BC is a non-profit charitable organization based in Victoria committed to building an economically dynamic, ecologically sound, and socially just model of how to live in British Columbia. Its web site includes information on tax shifts and a new curriculum for schools.

Zero Emissions Research Initiative - This United Nations initiative promotes the concept of zero emissions. Its web site contains information on ZERI's projects, events, and research, and also has a zero waste mailing list.

Zero Waste New Zealand - Zero Waste New Zealand's goal is to encourage and motivate all sectors of New Zealand society to work towards a target of zero waste. Its web site includes both international information and information specific to New Zealand.

Redefining Progress - Redefining Progress is a nonprofit public policy and research organization that develops policies and tools to reorient the economy so it will value people and nature first. Its web site describes their programs and projects.

GrassRoots Recycling Network: Zero Waste - This page provides information on zero waste campaigns, media releases, resources, links, a listserv, and more.

Target Zero Canada - This site provides information and articles on zero waste, and discusses organizations that are working toward zero waste in Canada and around the world.

RCBC: Zero Waste - (To view the article, hold your mouse over Hot Topics and choose Zero Waste from the drop-down menu.)  This page has been developed to facilitate the work of RCBC’s Zero Waste Working Group in raising awareness of the concept of zero waste. Its primary purpose is to provide viewers with information on zero waste initiatives in BC and links to resource materials on the web. It will also include notices of Working Group initiatives and reports as these become available. 

Ecology Action: Zero Waste - This site describes Ecology Action's programs, including "Waste Not" business services, a free Materials Reuse Network database, recycling resources, a school program, composting resources and support, and packaging research.

The Institute for Local Self-Reliance - This is an American think-tank on waste reduction and other environmental issues. They have authored several reports that support waste avoidance, including studies on the economic benefits of waste reduction. Some publications are free. Click on "Waste to Wealth."
