The Coast Waste Management Association would like to invite you to join us for our annual conference October 22nd – 24th, 2014 in Victoria, BC.

Our conference theme, “New Horizons in Waste Diversion” will bring together waste and recycling professionals to explore leading edge topics that affect the waste management and recycling sector today. Joining us is Ms. Susan V. Collins, President of the Container Recycling Institute, who has worked exclusively on recycling and sustainability issues for more than 20 years.

Some of the topics being addressed throughout the conference include; Helping business catalyze the green economy, Alternative Resource Recovery, EPR alternatives, Challenges of developing sustainable and recyclable packaging, Waste Characterization, Flow Control, Multifamily stakeholder engagement and Closed loop food recovery.

Tours of the award winning Hartland Landfill, The Bottle Depot who is the largest beverage container recycler on Vancouver Island and a walking tour of Bear Mountain. Many of the industry’s largest waste and recycling organizations will be in attendance as delegates and tradeshow participants.
